When is the best time to visit Fuvahmulah?

Our dive season is year-round.
The ideal moment is when you have the best deal on an international flight.
Fuvahmulah Island is home to pelagic species, which can be encountered at any time of year.

Flying After Diving Guidelines from Divers Alert Network (DAN)

The following DAN guidelines are applicable to air dives that are followed by flights at cabin altitudes of 2,000 to 8,000 feet (610 to 2,438 meters) for divers who do not exhibit symptoms of decompression sickness (DCS):

For a single no-decompression dive, wait at least 12 hours before flying
For multiple dives per day or multiple days of diving, wait at least 18 hours before flying
For dives requiring decompression stops, wait at least 24 hours before flying

What is the minimum requirement for a tiger shark dive?

The minimum diving requirement is an Advanced Open Water Diver certification or certified deep diver (recommended with 50+ logged dives).
CMAS level 2 or two-star divers
Open-water divers can take either the Advanced Open Water Diver or Deep Speciality courses. (it requires a minimum of two days) and it depends on the availability,
After completing your Open Water certification with another organisation (SSI, CMAS, Raid), you are allowed to enrol in the Advanced Open Water or Deep dive Speciality with PADI.
In Fuvahmulah, most diving sites require a deep dive up to 30 meters.
Open water courses are conducted from May to August, providing opportunities for beginner divers.

How do we do tiger shark dives?

Simply sit on your knees at the bottom and watch the show with the group approximately 8 - 12 metres deep; guides will take cover around you, and if sharks approach too close to you, the guide will redirect them.

Do you feed sharks?

We don't feed the sharks; instead, we hide the prey beneath the rock to attack the shark.

What is the maximum number of divers and guilds?

Normally, we dive with less than 15 divers every trip, but we can accommodate up to 20 divers at peak seasons.
A single dive guide leads up to eight divers and one assistant. More dive guides will be added as the number of divers increases.

Fuvahmulah has a tropical monsoon climate that is warm and tropical year-round; Fuvahmulah is located below the equator at Zero degree.

Diving Schedules

There are 18 dive sites surrounding Fuvahmulah Island, including reef, drift, and ocean dives, all of which are done by boat. Our instructors choose the dive sites based on the divers', drift dives, and ocean dives., which are all done by boat. Dive sites are chosen by our instructors, depending on the divers experience level and the weather conditions.
We do three dives a day! Including one tiger shark and two reef dives. Normally, the boat returns to the harbour after each dive: first dive at 7 a.m., second dive at 9:30 to 10 a.m., and third dive at 12 or 13 p.m.

Dress code

The Maldives is a Muslim country so you are advised to wear conservative clothing when visiting the Male' City or Local Islands. If you plan to visit a mosque or religious site, in particular, you must wear clothes that cover your knees and shoulders, and women may be required to cover their heads.
We kindly request you to wear T-shirts and shorts on the beaches of the island.
You can stay in bikinis in our pool area where you can use the swimming pool and sunbathe.
Our dive boat has a huge sun deck; during the dive trip, you can stay in your bikini.
We recommend avoid wearing a brightly coloured rash guard or wetsuit when diving with tiger sharks or reef dive.
